Runaway Weekend No.2

February 27, 2018

The first weekend event for 2018 is finally announced! There will days away as well if you can’t make the #runaway!

•Dates: 23rd-25th November 2018.
•Price: £295 + travel (costs currently being researched by Arran)
•Deposit: a non refundable £50 will hold your place.
•20 places are currently available.

We are heading to the Peak District where we will be under the coaching eye and leadership of Karen during this Runaway Weekend, who has coached many successful athletes across the disciplines including Sophie Raworth.

We will leave on Friday late morning (travel costs - options are currently being researched by Arran) and return mid afternoon/ early evening on the Sunday.

The venue is a comfortable hostel and the price includes EVERYTHING! There is an honesty bar (with no corkage charged to those that bring their own barrels or bottle) and within walking distance of pubs and cafes in the village.

What we will do:

•1 head torch run of 4-5 miles upon arrival
•Dinner and chill out.
•No heels or dinner suits needed. Bring your comfy trackies and your slippers!

•A bit of Parkrun tourism followed by coffee and cake.
•Yoga session with Emma (an experienced runner herself)
•Education/ discussion session with Karen & another run wellness/ health practitioner.
•Recovery run off road via the pub and back for dinner.

•The long run with big climbs, amazing views and terrain that fights back!
•A second yoga session will fit in somewhere across the weekend.
•Lunch and homeward we head.

📬Please note:
•You must be a confident runner to take part in this weekend as the terrain can be demanding and the weather cold.
•You need to be able to run a confident 2 hour / 10 miles to attend.
•There will be leaders running with the group that know the terrain and allow for a variety of pace.

📬A full kit list will be released in a few weeks.

*Includes a small admin fee.
